Arctic Balaclava

The Arctic Balaclava is the warmest balaclava KLIM makes, and this version has been redesigned with comfort and functionality improvements across the board. Fleece-backed GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ with WINDSTOPPER® panels cover the face, neck and front chest area, which is exactly where wind chill does the most damage in the coldest conditions.

Around the rest of the head the balaclava uses 4-way stretch wind-resistant material across the shoulders, back and sides, so you get protection without the bulk that stops a helmet from fitting properly. A 4-way stretch Lycra panel at the back of the head accommodates different head sizes, and redesigned seam placement with stretch panels makes it noticeably more comfortable to wear all day.

The details are what make it work under a helmet: a neoprene nose piece doubles as a breath deflector to reduce goggle fogging, low profile flat-lock stitching and low profile eye port construction keep pressure points away, and stretch comfort binding sits softly around your face. An ultra-wide skirt stays tucked in for wind protection, and a silicone grip pad keeps the neck tucked into your gear instead of riding up.
