Tracker 4 Avalanche Beacon

The BCA Tracker 4 is an avalanche beacon for riders who spend a lot of time in the mountains and are hard on their gear. BCA calls it their workhorse beacon. The case is built to take hard use, and the beacon has been kept simple to operate, because the idea behind BCA's Tracker beacons is that simplicity is speed.

The beacon has three antennas and a large, temperature-resistant LED display. The case has a rubber gasket and a large function button. The frequency is 457 kHz, the maximum range is 50 meters and the search strip width is 55 meters.

When more than one person is buried, the search is supported by Signal Suppression mode, Big Picture mode and the multiple burial indicator. Auto Revert takes the beacon from search mode back to transmit mode using motion sensing. The software can be updated through the Mini USB port.
